この例で説明するように、ssky-keygen や ssh-copy-id を使用して
3 つの簡単なステップでパスワードを入力せずにリモートの Linux サーバにログインできます。

ssh-keygen は公開鍵と秘密鍵を作成します。
ssh-copy-id はリモートホストの authorized_keys ファイルにローカルホストの公開鍵をコピーします。
ssh-copy-id はさらにリモートホストのホームや ~/.ssh や ~/.ssh/authorized_keys に適切なパーミッションを割り当てます。

Step 1: ローカルホスト上で公開鍵と秘密鍵を作成する

jsmith@local-host$ ssh-keygen

Step 2: ssh-copy-id を使用してリモートホストに公開鍵をコピーする

jsmith@local-host$ ssh-copy-id -i ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub remote-host

jsmith@remote-host’s password:
Now try logging into the machine, with “ssh ‘remote-host’”, and check in:
.ssh/authorized_keys to make sure we haven’t added extra keys that you weren’t expecting.

Note: ssh-copy-id はキーをリモートホストの .ssh/authorized_key に追記します。

Step 3: パスワードなしでリモートホストにログインする

jsmith@local-host$ ssh remote-host
